The SRM Tech is an acrylic platter mat designed for use on turntables with glass, MDF, alloy or other other non acrylic material platters

The SRM Tech acrylic platter mat will improve the sound of Transcriptors inc Thorens , Rega 2, 3, 25, Planar p2, p3, p25, and P3-24 also NAD 533 , C555 and Goldring GR1 GR2 and Moth Alamo and many more turntables

The SRM Tech acrylic platter mat is precision CNC machined in high quality super smooth black acrylic giving a highly polished surface

The benefits of using acrylic over the MDF , alloy or glass platters supplied as standard are many, including making the mid range more transparent, finer control of bass frequencies, the sound is less splashy and ringing is reduced

Overall the upgraded platter produces a more neutral sound, splashy ringing is a thing of the past!

The mat is 3mm thick weighing 230grams (not much more than an audiophile 180g record) a record Label recess ensures records sit flat, simply replace standard mat for instant improvement VTA adjustment should not be necessary on most turntables. Diameter is 295mm.

Best platter mat yet, for my turntable

Vintage Japanese direct-drive turntable... I have spent a lot on alternative mats, and this one is it! Sibilance tamed and bass tighter. Records sit dead flat. With a new Ortofon 2M Blue PNP cartridge, I can now declare the renovation finished, and sit back and enjoy.
